I really don’t think you need a large library of garden books, but it does seem necessary to have a few on hand when gardening becomes important to you. This is especially important before and after visiting the garden store. The planning of the garden and choosing of plants helps to make a successful garden, but the spontaneous impulse buying (that those beautiful displays at the garden store inspire) require a reference book. Finding just the right spot and learning to nurture that wonderful plant that we could not pass by. So this edition of my book page is given over to gardening books.
Gardening
I have a Cottage gardening page. I have come across some excellent books for those interested in this style of gardening. Sometimes a book helps to give us new ideas when we know we want some certain effect, but just don’t quite know what that is. Books by knowledgeable authors with pictures of creative, successful plantings revive our enthusiasm. And give a fresh inspiration!
The Home Depot Bird House Kit This would be so much fun for a pre-teen, or for a childs project with Mom and Dad. My son has built one such kit for me to put in my garden. I am so proud of him!
The garden is not only place to enjoy beautiful surroundings: improve your homelife. The first book listed is one of the most popular and humorous methods to organize and clean your home. I often need motivation and advice on this, so I really appreciate those books which help me do more than just ‘wish’. ” Fly Lady”, who also has a website and email encouragement service, will help to give you a good laugh along with gentle guidance to clean up your life. BTW, you would have to know me to understand why…. but I love her title. Sink Reflections: FlyLady’s BabyStep Guide to Overcoming CHAOS Then there are Don Asletts Books: Do I Dust or Vacuum First?: And 99 Other…Clutter’s Last Stand: to De-Junk Your Life!
